The fifth myth is that online booking may create double bookings. This does not happen. Vetstoria synchronize in real-time with your practice management software and make sure the priority goes to the reception team.

During the booking process we’ll check that an appointment time is free on two occasions. Firstly when we offer the time slots and secondly when the pet owner confirms the appointment and these are real-time checks. There isn’t a five second delay or anything like that and that means double bookings simply aren’t possible.

Real-time synchronization with your practice management system

Vetstoria is synchronized with your PMS in real-time. This means that appointments made online via Vetstoria appear immediately in your PMS, and appointments booked in the clinic by your receptionist (or emergency block-offs), are immediately reflected in Vetstoria.

This also prevents double bookings! If two pet owners attempt to book the same appointment slot, the user completing the process first will secure the appointment. The second user will be shown a message explaining that the selected slot is no longer available. Whoever completes the process first will secure the appointment.
